BLOG TOUR

I am so pleased to be a part of the Blog Tour and to be able to bring you a Q&A from the author herself! I love Kat French's books and I really can't wait to get stuck into this one. Thank you to the team at Avon for letting me a part of this wonderful Blog Tour.

Q&A with the Author

Hi. Thank you so much for agreeing to answer some questions on my blog about your writing.

Firstly, please could you tell readers a little about yourself?
I'm Kat French, and I live in the West Midlands with my husband and two sons. I've been writing full time for the last seven years.

When did you first realise you wanted to be a writer?
I've always known! I come from a family of romance readers, and have written for as long as I can remember.

What did you do as a job before becoming a writer?
All sorts! I've worked as a baby photographer, in an OAP home, in a Job Centre, in a jewellery shop and in HR.

How do you carry out the research for your novels?
I use the internet mostly these days. Thank goodness for Google!

Which aspects of your writing do you find easiest and most difficult?
Discipline is one of the toughest things - I work from home so I have to be strict with myself and treat it as a job. It's difficult for other people to grasp that sometimes too - they think because I'm at home I'm around to do everything!

What are your writing routines and where do you do most of your writing?
I treat it as a full time job, and have converted the spare room into a pretty office. It's quite girly - I live in a house full of males so it's nice to have somewhere that is just mine.

When you're not writing, what do you like to read?
I'm a romance junkie, but I like a good thrilled to counterbalance it too.

How important do you think social media is to authors in today's society?
Massively so. It's a great way to meet readers and to spread the word about your books! I love chatting to people on FB, and like that no matter what time it is, there's always someone awake somewhere in the world.

Could you tell the readers a bit about your latest book?
It's called The Bed & Breakfast on the Beach, & it's about three English friends who go to Greece on a mini break and come home having bought a B&B! It's escapist and full of romance, friendship and gin!

Which of your characters would you most like to be and why?
In this book, probably Winnie. She get's the hot guy!

Is there anything else you would have liked to be asked?
Would you like a large G&T? :)

Thank you so much for your time in answering my questions.

The Bed and Breakfast on The Beach is out on 13th July and you can pre-order it here
